Day trading stocks and index futures using volume price analysis on faster timeframes

US index futures continue to trade in a narrow range on the daily timeframe and in this session it was no different with the YM, the NQ and the ES all trading sideways in this session and as such forcing scalping traders to move to the faster timeframes of 1 minute and below. In such congested phases, non time based charts can also be used effectively such as renko or tick charts, but even here they need to be set to fast values and small brick sizes.
