Why bonds and bond spreads are the key for the euro

In the first part of the London forex trading session, I focus on the euro which as I explained last week is a political currency. However, what will ultimately dictate the future of the single currency longer term is the bond markets and in particular the spread between the Italian and German bonds. So forget about the flag-waving following the EU summit which saw the euro weaken, it is Italy and the bond markets which will ultimately dictate it’s fortune.
