In this video, I walk you through a classic volume price analysis example using the five-minute chart for Tesla, and the reason I selected this chart is simple. It has a textbook example of what we should expect in bullish trends. This is where we see volume and price in agreement as the trend develops and the application of Wyckoff’s laws, which propose only two outcomes – price and volume are either in agreement or disagreement, whether candle by candle or in groups as here.
A friendly reminder that David and I still have a few spots in our exclusive coaching program designed specifically for you. Our mission is to provide you with a profound understanding of chart analysis through volume price analysis and tackle any obstacles holding you back from realizing your potential and ambitions as a trader. Details about the Program can be found here: https://bit.ly/3ULTPlT

Almost through VPA book and, after trading for some 4 years, your perspective, examples metaphors provide the clearest view I have ever encountered. I will forever see a car spinning it’s wheels on an icy incline.
Thank you Anna and God bless you and yours. Happy Easter! ✝️
Hi Christopher – many thanks for your kind words and you are more than welcome – I’m delighted you enjoyed it and wishing you nevery success with your trading – regards Anna
Such a privilege you took the time to reply Miss Anna. It is much appreciated!
As much as I am inclined to overshare about my journey, I was wondering if I might send you a chart from my trades today (Monday, June 30) to simply ask if you would comment “yes” or “no” on my analysis of a green hammer candle that led to an up reversal on a trade I had taken short. ie, was this a red flag for me to exit?
I hesitate to send you anything like this without asking permission. Too, I’ve no idea whether I could add an attachment in this app.
Either way, Thank you! I watched nearly 3 hours of you and David’s recorded live streams over the weekend. One day I’ll actually make some money!
Cheers and God bless,

Hi Christopher – many thanks and you are more than welcome. I’ll be happy to take a look at your chart and comment accordingly – you can send this to the email address which you should find in the back of the book and I’ll be happy to oblige:-) thanks again – Anna
Hello again Miss Anna,
I’d wanted to send you a screen shot of a single candle that arrived during a trade I was in this morning which captured a shooting star as my long trade was moving up. (By the way, I’m writing you here because the “Contact me” tab on your home page of Anncoulling.com didn’t work just now)
I know you are busy, but I just wanted to write and say thanks. I’ve read VPA more than once and keep it on my trading desk for reference. While I’ve been trading for over 4 years now, I do work a full time job that prevents access to the US markets, but trade when I can catch a day off.
At any rate, the shooting star candle had big volume, it was red in an uptrend, but it was a small-bodied one, and, rather than reading it as a sign of a reversal, I could hear your melodic voice reminding me that if the move was so strong (to the downside), it would have had a larger body with all this volume…so it’s an anomaly.
So I stayed in the trade, a single QQQ call that paid 43% in the end… I held for about 35 minutes.
I’ve added bits and pieces over the years from several teachers, but VPA just makes so much sense to me and it is truly one of 2 indicators that are in real time.
Today was the first time I began to try and think like a market maker, and it proved to be 100% accurate, as well as profitable.
You’ve mentioned on more than one occasion how trading is an “art,” and I couldn’t agree more. And just today, I was recalling how I learned to play drums early, in elementary school…and you reach a point in your learning where you begin to get good enough to actually play a song, to participate with new found confidence…I finally feel I am at that stage, and in particular with your teachings, really love hunting for treasure. Did you ever feel like a detective??
Thanks for the valuable teaching Anna.
God bless,
